"I have a book I'd like to recommend you read...."

Dr. C: It's called The Strong Willed Child, by Dr. Somebody or Other

Me: Oh, okay.

Dr. C: But I think you should know that there has been proven a correlation between 'strong willed, or spirited' children and intelligent and creative adults.

Me: Oh, great.

Addi's 18 month check up! That's how it went. No shots even, just an utter meltdown. She had to be pinned down so they could look in her eyes, ears and throat.

Usually, she is sooooo sweet... and pretty freaking cute, if I do say so myself:

Addi, how old are you?

k, show me your teeth

can you kiss your owie?

Swiffering with pedicure seperators on her toes...

loves to eat corn on the cob

first pedicure.. can someone give me a pedicure while I eat breakfast and watch my favorite show??

I think I have that book. It didn't work. The strong willed child always wins (she's 9 now...crazy). Let's hope it will benefit them as adults. Addi is adorable. I can't believe she is 18 months. Time flies. I hope you are doing well --Britt

The strong willed child by Dr. James Dobson....the best book ever. It gets you into the minds and head ofg a strong willed child so you cna understand them m. i have used other books in conjunction with it for discipline techniques. the strong willed child can be reigned in and can be molded. yes they reamin strong willed and that is good in the long run, but they can be shaped by you. and you cna learn more about how they think so you kinow what is a challenge for them and waht will get through to them.
